What Is a Property Auction?
A property auction involves homes being listed for auction by an auction house where the public can place bids. This bidding can take place in person or online.
There are three phases to auctioning your property, the preparation period, the auction day itself and the completion.
Selling at auction can typically take anywhere between 6-10 weeks and it will cost around £1,200 + VAT. Even if your home doesn’t successfully sell when placed under the hammer, you will still need to pay a listing fee.
